This one is a good example of a small problem that was quietly getting worse. The homeowner had a leaking bathroom sink trap - that curved pipe section under the sink that connects the drain to the wall. Left alone, that kind of drip finds its way into the floor, the subfloor, and anything else in the way.

Here's what we were working with: an old metal trap that had corroded heavily at the joint where it connects to the wall stub-out. You could see the rust and buildup had eaten through the connection. It wasn't just seeping - it was actively dripping. The fitting was done.

We pulled the old trap out and swapped it with a fresh PVC trap assembly. Clean threads, solid connections, no gaps. Then we ran the faucet hard to stress-test it before calling it done. That's the part that matters - you don't want to pack up and leave only for a fitting to give out an hour later.

The finished bathroom tells the whole story. Sink drains clean, no drip, no wet floor. It's exactly the kind of residential plumbing repair that doesn't look flashy but protects a home from real water damage down the road. Older homes especially tend to have original metal drain hardware that's long overdue for an update.

If something under your bathroom sink sounds off - a drip, a musty smell, moisture on the floor - it's worth having someone take a look before it turns into a bigger fix. This kind of repair is straightforward when caught early.
